"Oreo" - 13.3H, 9 year old black/white grade paint pony gelding
Oreo is a sweetheart!!! This is the perfect little all-around family starter horse that everyone is looking for. He is only 9 years old, he is a super-comfy, stout, easy-to-handle perfect size - at right at 14H, and he is a color you just do not see everyday. He has a SUPER smooth lope, catches both of his leads, walks and trots around easy, circles, stops, backs up, and goes through the barrels and poles really nice and easy and relaxed. Trail rides well alone and with others. He is happy living outside in a group, or in the barn, easy to catch, tie, saddle, bridle, shoe, lead, load, haul, and clip/bathe. He has been used to push the cows back and to turn back, and has also been to little entry level 4H type of horse shows. He was also previously ridden english and jumped lower levels by his previous young rider. He carries himself very well and has a nice lead change and would be a super-star for a kid just starting out in the dressage, eventing, pony club, or the hunter/jumper shows. He has also done tons of organized large group trail rides, parades, moved cows, and has been to little junior rodeos. He has even been used for entry level polo!!! We got this little guy in on trade towards a step up horse and he is one of my own kid's favorites to saddle to ride to the neighbors, check the back pastures, and just hang out on. Very easy, comfy, and uncomplicated to be around, and he is always happy to see you and have a job. Super nice little horse that will be a great asset to a family, to someone just starting out, or anyone that needs a solid, versatile little riding horse. He is not super fast, not super handy and quick - but he is just as kind, solid, smooth, sweet, and safe as they come!
