"Izzy" - 14H, 20 year old gray POA mare

If you dropped off your 4 year old to pre-school…to be taught, led, and kept safe by 9 year old little kids…would you be concerned?  What if the teachers were 13?   How about if they were 15, that is old enough to probably be  OK - would that be good enough?  No. Most parents, when they do finally let their tiny little ones out of their own site, want them to be cared for and taught by someone with a clean record, at least 30+, someone with real knowledge, and a solid track record of responsible behavior.   So why, when we mount our littles on a flight animal, do we not demand the exact same?   These older horses, that have aged well, stayed great minded, and are still sound - are worth their weight in gold and this little mare is no exception.  She has taught countless littles to trot and lope around and go through the patterns in a local riding program, and she has been a trusted first horse for several young riders.  Izzy knows her job, and knows it well, she is all business every single time you catch her, and is sweet and kind.  She adores kiddos, and is easy for them to catch, groom, saddle, tack up, bridle, and step up on - all on their own.   She rides outside very boldly and confidently alone, and also rides well in a group of horses.  She knows all the playday patterns, and is super solid through the barrels.   Kiddos can relax and just go and she knows exactly where she is supposed to be - if they forget which hand goes to the horn or ride to the wrong place, or drop their reins, she still knows where she is supposed to be.   She is not fast or hot, but is not lazy or dull and the kind they have to exhaust their little legs out kicking for every single step either.  Izzy is an easy keeper, lives outside in a pasture with a group of other horses and is about as simple and low maintenance as they come.  This senior is strong and has great legs and is not even on previcox, exceptional for her age!  If you have a young rider, a little kid, or a little wife girlfriend or grandma that needs a safe solid confidence building but fun mount, then Izzy is your girl.

Izzy was just trimmed two weeks ago, just had her teeth done by an equine dentist last week, has her ears treated for ticks, and was also power packed wormed.  She is great to shoe, but has exceptionally good feet and goes well barefoot.  She will arrive at her new home up-to-date and ready to go to work!

~ SALES APPOINTMENTS ~

75% of our sale horses are successfully sold site-unseen
We have excellent repeat buyers worldwide, buyers who do not require an appointment to make a purchase decision.

Only 25% of our horses are sold through an in-person sales appointment.
~ SALES APPOINTMENTS ARE ONLY AVAILABLE FOR BUYERS WHO ARE READY TO PURCHASE AT THEIR APPOINTMENT ~
We love selling horses in person, even though it is a small percent of our revenue - we are staffed throughout the week full-time and year-round for in person sales appointments, to accommodate all of our buyers who require an in person sales appointment to make a purchase decision.

We typically book sales appointments every weekday at 9AM, 11AM, and 1PM.
We are often fully booked 24-48 hours out.
Please call to request an appointment

We do not currently require an up front booking fee, for sales appointments scheduled during our regular hours.
(this policy may be changing soon!)

Sales appointments are for serious buyers who are currently ready to buy, and intend to purchase at their sales appointment.  We love selling horses in person through private sales appointments, however, our two hour sales appointments, cost us approximately $500 per appointment.  Please be respectful of our time and only book a sales appointment if you are prepared to make a purchase at your appointment.  If you are just starting to look, are looking to buy in the future, or are not sure yet of what you are looking for and just want to look - we would still absolutely love to help you in your buying journey.   Please consider booking an intro lesson or a block of lessons, instead of a sales appointment, if you are not immediately ready to purchase.

Our time available for sales appointments during the evenings and over the weekends, is EXTREMELY limited.
Most weekends we are either at a horse sale, at a clinic, booked with lessons, at a competition, or we are at a family event.
However, in some cases, we can be available on evenings and weekends for sales appointments!
An evening or weekend appointment, does require us paying our already well-paid staff, overtime pay - an after hours appointment also requires a lot of extra coordination outside our regular work hours.
We currently cover this additional expense ourselves, at no additional cost to our buyers.
However, in order to book someone for an after-hours sales appointment~ we do require an up-front (non-refundable) $500 booking fee, which of course applies to your purchase.

We do NOT require an up-front deposit to book an appointment to purchase during all of our regular hours!
