HezGotta Nice Dually aka: “Nemo"
- 15.1H, 2020' sorrel AQHA (sells with copy) gelding
Nemo is an exceptionally well-bred young gelding with all the tools to go on and be a big-time performance horse, backed by a pedigree that speaks for itself. He is a grandson of Dash Ta Fame and also carries Rocket Wrangler, Miss In Command, and Dual Pep all right on his papers … making him naturally built to be extremely fast, athletic, and feely/responsive. Nemo has had a phenomenal start to life, being used out on a working ranch where he’s seen real-world miles, and he has also been lightly and correctly started in the roping pen, setting him up as a strong rope horse prospect with a solid foundation. He has been brought along slowly and correctly, and while he’s been a bit of a late bloomer to mature mentally and physically, he has always had a great mind and he's had the appropriate foundation put on him. He has handled our program exceptionally well, even with inconsistent riding, and has proven to be incredibly gentle, tolerant, and kind. Nemo has been ridden by capable young riders who are not yet trainers and are just getting started in their career, and he has always been forgiving and easy to get along with, showing a level of maturity that is hard to find in a young horse that is bred like he is. He is very feely and responsive, making him fun to ride, with a great handle, big stop, strong rollback, big leave, and a big, smooth, ground-covering trot and lope. He is light on his feet, handy, and already shows the kind of athletic ability that could take him in multiple directions, whether that’s roping, barrels, ranch work, or even sorting - which he has been lightly used for in the pens on the ranch he was started on. Nemo has also been hauled to town for exposure and handled it like a seasoned horse, taking everything in stride despite it being a new experience. He stands quietly tied, loads easily, has been great for the farrier and dentist, and is always easy to catch. He has a sweet, people-loving personality and is the kind that will meet you at the gate looking for attention and a job. This is the kind of horse we wish we had in full-time training, as his potential is very evident. Nemo does sell with a copy of his papers, as the originals were lost in transport from Canada, but duplicates should be able to be obtained through AQHA. He is priced accordingly, though we believe his ability alone justifies his value regardless of if the new owner decides to go through AQHA to obtain duplicate papers. If you’re looking for a talented, well-started colt with a great mind and the athletic ability to go on in any direction, Nemo is one you won’t want to miss.
